SD23

SD23 MIDI Note To Trigger

Product Description

(This module is included in the System B)

The SD23 generates 12 trigger outputs when it receives MIDI notes messages (key presses) in a specified range (an octave long). This is helpful for creating drum kits that map to a MIDI keyboard.

The MIDI channel that the module listens to can be chosen. The starting note on the keyboard can be chosen too. Once a starting note is chosen, any MIDI note received AT and HIGHER than the chosen note by an octave will trigger one of the 12 trigger outputs respectively. A learn feature is also available through the L button. Press the button and send the starting note you want to the module, the display will be updated.

The White/Off switch lets the module respond only to the white keys on the keyboard. That is the do,re,me..scale (or as it is called, the Solfege scale). This is useful for none keyboard players who may find it easier to avoid the black keys.
