The S120 allows you to customize what gets sent to the different voices in a polyphonic patch instead of relying totally on the automatic poly system in SoloRack. Suppose for example that you want voice 1 to use a sawtooth oscillator, and voice 2 to use a square or something else. But you still want to processes all voices similarly further down the signal path. Here is an example preset that demonstrates that:
Take note of how the second S120 is used in this patch for the ADSR and how the SD02 modules are set to mono in order for this patch to work. Obviously there are way more complex and useful ways that you can use this module than what has been shown in this simple preset. Use your imagination.
Notice that the Poly out patch point has to be connected to a module that has polyphony ENABLED (right click menu). Otherwise the module will not work as intended. The counter part of the S120 is the S121 which does exactly the opposite job.
