SD08

SD08 MIDI Monitor

Product Description

The SD08 is a capable and useful MIDI monitor that decodes MIDI messages into readable form. The details displayed covers almost every aspect of the MIDI standard including MIDI notes, Control Changes (CC), pitch bend, after touch, program change, channel mode messages, MTC, Song position/select, real time messages (clocks, transport), RPN, NRPN, SysEx and more.

The C (Copy) button will copy the contents of the monitor screen to the OS clip board. button (Purge) will clear the display and free the memory used by the text. The Memory knob sets the maximum amount of memory (in Mega bytes) that the monitor text can take.

The 7bit/14bit switch (when set to 14bit) will assume that CC0 to CC63 controllers are 14bit MSB/LSB pairs and hence will display the relevant 14bit values on the monitor screen.

Note: When the monitor shows a line beginning with a > this indicates that this line is NOT a MIDI message but a helpful tip or concluded information from multiple previous messages.
